About Jewel S.
Hi my name is Jewel. I am a self -published Author and many describe me as a jovial individual which I use to my advantage to connect with my students. My passion for teaching and my love for Reading and Writing stories drove me to pursue Degrees in the field of English Literature. I attained two degrees over my studying tenure of nine years: Literatures in English at the College of Science Technology and Applied Arts of Trinidad and Tobago and English Language and Literature with Education at the University of the West Indies. I have been actively tutoring at both Primary and Secondary levels for the past four years. I look forward to continuing to do so at Bloom Learning as it’s always a pleasure to inspire, shape and motivate young minds.
About My Lessons
I utilize both the traditional and contemporary teaching methods as needed. However, I mostly gravitate to using student-centered instructional activities as this empowers my students and allows them to think critically and be independent learners.
Overall my personal teaching philosophy is one which I adhere to as this ensures that my students stay motivated even through difficult times.
